Weather: Stupid Hot!! 40degrees on arrival, staying mid 30’s until Thursday pm.
Time Fishing: Due to the whole of France’s carp population being on the surface, early am and from 7pm only possible.
Daz: First time back since 2005 and nothing has changed – still a stunning part of the world and an anglers paradise. The really hot weather put pay to a big haul but still great fishing and even better fish. This was the first time Dave had been carp fishing and he kicked off with a 29 lb’er!! As always, listen to Gary! will defo be back for more 30’s and big pussy’s!!
Dave: Previous fishing experience (1993), 20mins on Hinkley Broad (1 eel & 1 roach), This week has potentially given me a new hobby! Lovely place, lovely fish, top advice – shame about the weather (Too Hot!). Off to check the bank balance for some investment in tackle, and wife permitting another week here.
Girls & Kids: Us girls disagree with the boys comments that it was too hot, unfortunately it encouraged us to drink rather a lot of wine & thank god for Garys stock! Tried fishing with the kids using a size 16 hook and some bread, however the ducks were more interested in the bread than the fish! great week had by all. Thank you Gary & Kerry see you next time.
