Gary: “If you want a relaxing holiday Lodge Lakes is not the place for you, knackered every day. The fish certainly know how to put a bend in the rod and fight right up to the net. Only did days but still managed 42 carp, one on floating crust, didn’t bother counting all the roach and rudd. A very enjoyable holiday with comfortably accommodation and a good food package. The tackle hire package fulfilled all the need with quality rods. If you want to catch fish listen to Gary but don’t trust him as a weatherman. Week was cold and wet. Already booked another week. P.S. As for the tackle tarts, we did 103 fish without doing nights, not much of a challenge there…The part timers….”

Mark: “My second fishing trip to France and couldn’t have been any better. All aspects surpassed expectations. A thoroughly enjoyable week. Went to local restaurant/bar, watched a lot of tele and did the occasional bit of fishing;-) 2 new PB’s & an impressive number of carp between the 4 of us, despite the various weather conditions. Would love to return in the near future. If we took the fishing side of things more seriously, who knows how many we could catch”
Bill: “Brilliant weeks fishing. Happy with what I caught, considering no nights, late starts, and I went for other species. Over 100lb of roach & rudd and well over 100lb of small carp from the stock pond. Best fight I had was the 20lb 8oz mirror on my match rod, with size 18 hook, 2lb line on single maggot”.
