True to Lodge Lakes honesty and creating a true fishing venue,When we say we are going to put 100 fish in the lake thats what we do!!!
The bigger carp, tench and sturgeon will be arriving soon, hopefully mid february, we just have to wait for the right weather in Hungary and czech !!!
We have been very busy creating the interior of the Cabin, it is all coming along nicely, again we hope to have photos on the website showing the accommodation within the next couple of weeks.
Will keep you updated as and when we can!

Just an update on the work at The Cabin. Work has started on the house, with the extention shell built and roof on, attention will soon be on transforming the interior.
We know people are interested in what the accommodation will look like so we have created a virtual floor plan in 2D and 3D view. Please click on the link below to view the space we are creating and once we have photos to show you we will put them on the website.

OUR NEW VENUE FOR 2012 . . .
Hello all,
Just to let you know that we will be opening a new venue here in the Limousin countryside in April 2012!
We are proud to announce Lodge Lakes The Cabin - which has two lakes, one of 1.25 acres and the second 0.5 acre. The bigger of the two lakes will be stocked with 1 tonne of carp - approximately 100 fish - ranging from doubles up to mid thirties.
We'll have a lakeside lodge that will sleep up to 6 people with two twin bedrooms and a double sofa bed. There'll be a shower room, kitchen & living area and a large covered terrace, as well as a swimming pool of course! We have on-site parking and, just like our existing lake, it's secluded, secure & in an idyllic setting in the heart of the Limousin countryside, yet just a short walk away from the local village where you'll find a supermarket, a baker, bar and restaurant - in fact everything you could need throughout your stay.
Naturally we have a lot of work to do to get it ready for next season, but we'll soon have some photos on the website so you can see more, plus we'll keep you fully updated as work progresses - so keep watching for more updates and information re. booking etc.
Here's to exciting times!

Hello again,
Dale and his mates had a bad week fishing with the rain and too much partying.... they were just saying their goodbyes and posing for a picture at the normal place ( the corner of the veranda ) when they disappeared out of photo shot ......I looked over the top of the camera and they had fallen 4 ft, Amazingly not one of them fell in the water!!!!
As you can imagine I was not too happy, Friday Late morning, customers arriving Saturday! It's wasn't Dale's lot fault....no not the 100stone of them!! it was the idiot who built it (and no it wasn't me!). He had put 4" nails into 3" pieces of wood so the only thing hold it up was an inch of nail, it was there just waiting to happen all this time..........
Luckily enough I have now fixed it, they way it should have been done in the first place.
A very hard Friday afternoon...........

Welcome to our new look site for 2011. It was all designed around our new logo that we had design for us and we hope you all like the look, find it easy to navigate around and enjoy some new additions, i.e. the new social bar, our hot deals page, and the new welcome video to entertain you!! I must say that I am no news reader and it could probably do with a lot more editing, but then I don't think there would be anything left to see!!! It was very hard to do but hopefully it adds a new twist.....
Please let us know your thoughts, good or bad, we welcome all comments.
Lastly, If you like what you see then please like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
Thanks for looking,
Gary

Many thanks Roland for submitting your comment (to view pls see comment under "Rumours" blog)......
It's funny you responding to my blog, as I was going to mention you in the blog referring to your comments during your stay about how the fish had just finished spawning as a lot of them had very soft squidgy bellies! and how this also contributes to weight loss during the season............But as we all know we can go on and on with reasons for weight loss...

Rumours, Rumours, Rumours................!
As most of my customers know, I am a straight talking, no nonsense, and honest bloke.........and as forums are the best way to find out about the good and the bad lakes, it kind of annoys me when I hear that there has been a few comments posted on forums stating that I have taken a few 40's out of the lake on the last drain down in 2009.
40lb 2oz Caught Today AT LAST!!!!!
I am so glad to say that Steve has caught a 40lb 2oz mirror today which has been a long time coming this year.

Oh Dear....., It is a shame that I have to write this but how sad can some people be???
We were cleaning through the house like we do every Saturday morning and we noticed where we put up my old woolworths classic pike rod with an old mitchell reel on it and one of my old spinners to make it look nice in the lodge, some dirty stinking scum of a person has cut off the spinner tied the line back on to the eye of the rod and nicked the spinner!!!!!!
I truly, truly hope that the treble hook on the spinner gets that person right where it hurts, to put it mildly...

Hello All,
The catch reports for the first couple of months were pretty good. The Romford Boys, Tackle Tarts, and The Bloody Good Anglers all caught over 70 Fish with around 20 thirties caught each week...
Jeff from the Hildonians on Tour had a 19lb 11oz, 34lb 9oz, and 41lb 7oz with all rods practically going at the same time and the 34 and 41 in the same landing net...!
The catch reports in June haven't been that good due to the constant heat, it seems like the carp have all put their feet up!

Hello All,
Hope you all had a great 2008.
The website is at last nearly getting to how I want it, just a few more things to do. The Knobs out crew & 1 prick caught quite well on the cold 3 days that they stayed at the lake at the start of November, have a look at the catch reports...
