Lodge Lakes is located in the Haute-Vienne department within the Limousin region of France. The two most popular ways of reaching us is either by car/ferry, or plane.
By Car via sea crossing....
If you choose to drive to Lodge lakes, then you can cross the channel via Eurotunnel or one of the many ferry companies: Speedferries, P&O, Stena Brittany Ferries, Sea France, LD lines, Condor Ferries, and Irish Ferries.

By Plane....
Flybe and Ryanair both fly into nearby Limoges airport which is 30 minutes drive away from us.
Ryanair offer flights from Stansted, Luton, Bristol, Bournemouth, Liverpool, East Midlands or Edinburgh.
flybe offer flights from Southampton, and Newcastle.
We provide a complementary pick up and drop off service to and from the airport or there are car hire companies at the airport.

Zooparc de Beauval:
A fantastic day out for all the family with over 4000 animals, (including beautiful white tigers and endearing Orang-utans) picnic areas, cafes, shops etc
Aquarium du Limousin
This aquarium has 300 different species and more than 2500 fish in a floor area of over 1000 square metres.
Le Parc Reynou
This Wildlife Park is a living theatre where you can discover 600 animals of 130 different species, from 5 continents, where they live and breed in natural harmony.
The Park (80 hectares) is divided geographically with the only limits to the freedom of the animals being those imposed for public safety.
Les Loups de Chabrières
Opened in 2000, the Animal Park consists of several enclosures where a variety of wolf species (including the white wolf) are being bred in a natural environment.
Golf
For those of you who enjoy a game of golf there are a number of 18 hole courses for you to play including Golf de Saint-Junien near Limoges
City of Limoges
The Historical & Magical city of Limoges which nestles around the beautiful Vienne river and has so much to offer you, including beautiful parks and gardens, cathedrals & churches, museums & theatres, an array of shops and restuarants and of course it''s famous Porcelain factory shops where you can indulge in a guided tour and then maybe treat yourself to a holiday momento.
There is a nice day out at St Pardoux, a 750acre lake that has man made beaches, watersports, and walks. 20Mins drive.
Other days out can include:
Parc Bellevue, small theme park for young children. 30Mins drive.
Futuroscope, theme park, extreme thrills, images in giant-screen format, shows, interactive adventures. 1 ½ hrs drive.
Horse trekking, all ages from 4yrs+, all abilities. 5Mins walk.
Open air swimming pool with water slides. 20Mins drive. Summer only.
Shopping in the city of Limoges. 30Mins drive.

We arrived at the Lake at the outset of an "indian summer" with temperatures averaging 29-30degrees. Characteristically this reduced the catch. In all we enjoyed a marvellous week which we will be delighted to repeat in years to come. Many thanks to Gary for his freindly tips and in the words of Robin & Dick "Gary - your the B****cks"! PS. Marc's place is the nuts!

A great week, weather Hot, Tues showers. Fish not feeding well. Hard week to catch but managed a few. Food great, Gary as always great host, Kerry thank you for a great meal. See you both in May 2012 Hope new project goes well. Thank you both for another great week.

Weather not settled, mainly sunny and sticky. Friends & family joined us for 4 days great laugh, visit to 118 bar loads of BBQ's, fry-ups & Beers, Wine, Gin, Vodka. Fishing quite slow but party nights & days didn't help. All had a great 2 wks, company excellent, Thanks a lot Gary & Kerry see u next year.

A great week was had by all, the two boys, Jack & Henry both caught their 1st 20's and Karen also had her 1st Carp a 20lber!! Weather was good to start with up to 35 degree for the 1st half of the week and a bit cooler in the later half. Fishing wise we took it easy to start, catching consistantly all week though. We mostly fished nights only at the start and days as well at the end of the week.

2 Week Report - 7th - 20th August '11 Mainly 2 anglers fishing nights, evenings and mornings. Chris fished a total of all 14 nights and myself (Rick a total of 10). Michelle my wife and James my 8yr old son took a few runs on my rods. 1st week was mixed weather and 2nd became very hot and sport slowed down a little. What a fantastic chill out 2 weeks with some mega fish to show for it. 12x30's two not far off 40lb is unbelievable! Loved the sturgeon and the large cat! Gary, Kerry & kids are such wonderful people and hosts. Many thanks for a wonderful time. Rick, Michelle, Chris & James x |

Les: Great week, very relaxing. Had my personal best. Smashing, thanks Gary. Jordan: Very relaxing week with two 30's, great fishing, cheers Gary. Paul: Got my tan on! weather was great (most of the time) relaxed all week, caught my pb and Gary was very helpful. Best hol ever!. Steve: Another great week with lots of sun and spectacular lighting. Lots of PB's. My lads throughly enjoyed it and will be back!! (No Sturgeon Steve this year). Mark: Once I caught my catfish I was good! But I still caught :-) did better than last time and smashed my PB by 2lb 3oz!!! Get on the pineapple dumbells! PUKKA!. Nick: second year at the Lodge and was just as good as last year, good fishing, good laugh and weather OK. Cheers Gary. Clive: Fantastic time, Done my personal best and a bonus cat too. Great week.
