About the Lake

"A Little Corner of Heaven"....as previously quoted and now continuously repeated.
From the moment you turn off from the road, you truly enter "A Little corner of heaven". The Lodge sits on the edge of 4 acres of water that is home to approximately 350 Carp up to 45lb, Catfish to 75lb+, and Sturgeon to 30lb, with Tench, Perch, Roach, Rudd and Pike. There are 10 custom made swims to choose from which do not detract from the natural beauty of the lake itself and its stunning surroundings, but they have been designed to give you access to fish the whole lake.
The Lodge is home from home, with 3 twin bedrooms it comfortably sleeps up to 6 people. You have a comfy living room with English TV, DVD player, and CD player, somewhere to come if you want a break away from the fishing! or just to relax taking in the views of the lake from the patio doors which lead directly out on to the terrace area where you can enjoy a bit of alfresco dining cooked from your fully equipped kitchen or the outside BBQ.

History

The Lodge has been enjoying over 15 years of carp fishing holidays, the lake at The Lodge is over 50 years old and well established. Originally built as a fish farm, it is stream fed from an inlet with a depth of approximately two to three feet of water, down to twelve feet at the dam end. We replenish the fish stocks to keep the water alive! and throughout the winter the fish are constantly fed to keep up their weight and health.With years of knowledge of running a carp fishery at The Lodge, we are confident you will find it to be your ultimate carp fishing holiday.

Meal Details

Fancy a truly relaxing holiday? 
Then why not take advantage of our meal package?

You will have two hearty meals per day, a fully cooked breakfast and 2 course evening meal.

Breakfast consists of:

  • 2 Sausages, Bacon, Double egg, Beans or Tomatoes,
  • Toast or French bread.
  • Tea & Coffee. 

(Cereals, croissants, omelettes, breakfast baguettes on the bank if you prefer, on request)

and, our 2 Course Evening Menu consists of either a starter & main meal or main meal & selection of cheeses or dessert.

  • Starters: Selection of cold meats,
  • Bruschetta,
  • Fried Goats cheese,
  • Foie Gras/Pate,
  • Stuffed vine leaves,
  • Chicken liver salad.....etc

Main Meals: 

  • Roast Chicken,

.....etc (all main meals are served with accompaniments i.e. Potatoes, Veg, Salad, Chips (only served with steak!), Bread etc) Selection of French Cheeses or desserts: Apple tart, Fruit flan, Ice cream.....etc
