This was my 8th time to the Lodge (Jason), and Dave and Dan have been 5 times but this was Dom’s first trip.
As ever we work as a team, covering the water we know well and ringing the changes when we see the signs on the water.
We love the venue the facilities and the banter and unique service Gary provides – fantastic breakfast and dinners and constant piss taking out of Dan !!
This week it all came together for us all:
- Dom caught a 38.5 lb Mirror as his first ever fish
- I caught a double figure pike on a trout fly rod and common PM
- Dave reached his personal target of a “forty”
- Best of all Dan and Dom landed the biggest fish ever from the lake a 110 lb Cat
Brilliant week and can’t wait to come back.
