Catch Report and Comments:
Saturday 4th March:
First day of fishing – only fished for 2 hours. Caught nothing but did see 2 shows on the far margin – It gave me some hope. Weather was fairly cold and overcast – pressure was unfortunately right up and there was a strong north westerly wind !!
Monday 6th March:
Fished for 5 hours – change in wind with a big south westerly coming in ! Lake was however very quiet with no real signs of fish activity…
Tuesday 7th March:
Again only fished for 5 hours, conditions similar with lots of rain and cold temperatures.
Wednesday 8th March:
Fished for 5 hours – CAUGHT ! Half two in the afternoon my middle rod ripped off, gifted with a lovely 36lb mirror – Happy Days !!
Thursday 9th March:
Fished for 7 hours – wind and rain stronger and temperatures had risen slightly – pressure up even more – thunder and lighting kicking off from about 2 o’clock and continued all day!!
Friday 10th March:
Last day fishing – Rods back out for 7 hours to no avail….
Fished to deeper water – with the bite coming off of a yellow pop up around a scattering of boilies… Fished for a total of 35 hours, I’ll take one bite from that considering the weather – Happy Days!!
Last year I fished the cabin around the same week – I caught 95 fish ! welcome to the world of fishing !
