Fishing was a little slower than last year but a much needed relaxing holiday.
Weather wise we had all sorts, A big storm had hit the day we got here, we had two days of thunderstorms the the holiday plus another 3 days of rain. Temps ranged from highs of 32 to lows of 6.
As mentioned fishing was mostly slow, we banked 38 fish during the holiday with none of the really bigguns showing up. Although there was periods when we had had doubles & triple runs.
Fished for a bite at a time leaving 3 rods each on the main spots with one casting at showing fish. Unusually this year no bonus fish were caught from the far margin with nearly all fish coming from deeper water. Tactics & rigs were simple. Bait used through the holiday was 8 kilo of boilies & 2 sacks of pellets.
